Verify Mobile IDs, now with the security of iPhone

When verifying Mobile IDs (mDLs) on iPhone with the Puerto Rico Verifier app, only the requested information will be displayed on screen. Users can review the information that is being requested and can confirm or deny if they want to share it with the reader.

With Mobile ID Acceptance on iPhone and the Puerto RIco Verifier app, merchants can verify ID in Apple Wallet and other mobile IDs from the following jurisdictions: Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Hawaii, lowa, Maryland, Montana, New Mexico, Ohio and Puerto Rico.

Businesses and Establishments Interested in Using This Tool

An official sticker will soon be available for businesses and establishments that wish to identify that they use this application to accept and verify mobile digital driver’s licenses (mDL) presented through Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. This sticker will allow customers to easily recognize that the establishment is equipped to validate digital identifications quickly and securely.

How to Verify a Mobile License/ID (mDL) with Puerto RIco Verifier

Legal Notice

ID in Apple Wallet is available in select states and territories, at select TSA checkpoints (travelers should refer to checkpoint signage to confirm availability) and requires iPhone 8 or later with iOS 16.5 or later, or Apple Watch Series 4 or later with WatchOS 9.5 or later. For California, ID in Apple Wallet requires iPhone XS or later with iOS 17.5 or later, or Apple Watch Series 4 or later with watchOS 10 or later. For Puerto Rico, ID in Apple Wallet requires iPhone XS or later with iOS 18.1 or later, or Apple Watch Series 6 or later with watchOS 11 or later.
