When verifying Mobile Id's (mDLs) on iPhone with the CESCO Digital app, only the requested information will be displayed on screen. Users can review the information that is being requested and can confirm or deny if they want to share it with the reader.

With Mobile ID Acceptance on iPhone and the CESCO Digital app, merchants can verify ID in Apple Wallet and other mobile IDs from the following jurisdictions: Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Hawaii, lowa, Maryland, Ohio and Puerto Rico.

How to Verify a Mobile License/ID (mDL) with CESCO Digital

Select “Scan” in the login screen

On the login screen of the CESCO Digital app, select the “Scan” option on the bottom left of the screen.

Select Mobile license / ID (mDL)

On the Scan menu, select the “Mobile license / ID (mDL)” option.

Select information to verify

Select the option you'd like to verify from the Mobile ID/mDL presented.

Present iPhone to customer

Customer holds their device near the top of your iPhone.

Verify Customer

When the customer has confirmed the information requested by your business, the details will appear on your screen.

ID in Apple Wallet is available in select states and territories, at select TSA checkpoints (travelers should refer to checkpoint signage to confirm availability) and requires iPhone 8 or later with iOS 16.5 or later, or Apple Watch Series 4 or later with WatchOS 9.5 or later. For California, ID in Apple Wallet requires iPhone XS or later with iOS 17.5 or later, or Apple Watch Series 4 or later with watchOS 10 or later. For Puerto Rico, ID in Apple Wallet requires iPhone XS or later with iOS 18.1 or later, or Apple Watch Series 6 or later with watchOS 11 or later. Mobile ID Acceptance on iPhone is available at select merchants. Requires iPhone 8 or later with iOS 16.5 or later, or Apple Watch Series 4 or later with watchOS 9.5 or later. See here for details.
